PMC for the Implementation of the Railway Link Between the Airport Of N’djili and Kinshasa Central Station
In connection with the modernisation of the International Airport of Kinshasa, the governmental authorities have decided to implement a new electrified railway link to connect the airport to the Central Station in the city centre.
The railway link consists of 20.4 Km of standard-gauge main line and 8 stations, out of which two head-stations and 6 through-stations. The new trackwork is designed not only for passenger traffic but also for freight traffic, to allow for future link with the regional network.
The new railway is meant to replace the existing metric-gauge line which service was terminated in 2012 for safety reasons.
TECHNITAL is appointed as sole Consultant for the PMC, which includes all phases of design from Feasibility study through to Preliminary and Detailed Design, preparation of contract’s documents and supervision of construction works according to FIDIC Yellow Book.
