Recovery and development of the port and the related accessibility infrastructure and for the intermodal connection of the Cristoforo Colombo Airport in Genoa
The project envisages the construction of road works within the Port of Genoa, with the extension of the Port Sopraelevata to cross the Polcevera river and the construction of a new access gate to the port area. The intervention is completed with the construction of new viaducts that allow the road system to overcome the interference with the port areas and consequently to help the rapid movement of goods towards the port gates to the major motorway system.
The service includes the drafting of the final and the executive design, as well as participation in project approvals such as the Public Consultation.
The road system includes sections with four lanes, two in each direction, and is mostly on viaduct. A road system outside the port area is planned to improve the connection of the main road system with the Cristoforo Colombo airport area. The length of the elevated road system in the port area is about 3.6 km and includes new viaducts and the seismic upgrading of the existing elevated road system. It is worth to notice the new bridge over the Polcevera river, two levels arch tied bridge
